What a question! “Why?” is by far my favourite of all the “W”s (what, when, who, how, where, why, etc). You gain so much more information, and have a much more interesting journey when you ask “Why”. All of the other “W” questions can be answered on the way to understanding why something is.
I’ve always been a “Why” person, from as early in my childhood as I can remember. Never satisfied with stock answers, my analytical mind developed because I always asked “why”. Why is that thing doing what its doing? Why do things exist? Why are those people different? Why are we here? Now that’s a biggie.
This blog is a journal of some of my quests to know why, and how I find out the answer. Every why can be broken down into smaller whys, discovering the whats, wheres and whos on the way. For example, “Why are some bird’s feathers different colours?” ends up being a discussion on photons and electrons, which in turn ends up being a discussion on quantum theory and then to things that we actually don’t know.
I hope I raise more questions than I answer, because then you know that you are asking yourself “Why?”.
